Inter coach Antonio Conte gave an interview to L'Equipe, where he talked about everything he asked players, including sex before the race. In the Corriere dello Sport the journalist Fulvio Abbate commented on the coach's words:
"A ntonio Conte asks his boys to restrain themselves, more economize in terms of sex. Posing, as long as there is, even to guard the family. If this were not the case, reasoning about erotic practices, he would not have said verbatim:" Yes to the pre-game sex possibly with his wife and making as little effort as possible.
A Conte, it must be said, it is necessary to recognize however generosity, if not wide, and even a clear, clear knowledge of the relationship between the costs and the benefits that can be drawn from that kind of exchanges. There is therefore, wanting to find an image that is plastically adequate to the circumstances, to imagine it, yes, in a coaching outfit with appropriate awareness and a sense of responsibility, but also, if necessary, ready to dress the resolute crusader's crush. Perhaps in the belief that sex practiced with auxiliary figures, that is, outside of domestic precautions, if not from family monotony, could trigger a surplus of muscular efforts, harmful passions, and distractions, could in short resemble an additional, unacceptable, vile match.
All this must certainly be the result of study and application, far beyond the daily algebra referred to the game schemes. These words are thus inscribed in the broader and more unsolved philosophical and carnal debate about the opportunity to conceive the coexistence of sex in football performance. A truly deadly ten-year symposium, given that so far, except in rare cases referring however to the doubt of irresponsibility if not of the libertinism of the Alps, we continue to believe that the warning finger of the Mister must always rise up, imperious, whenever the "boys" should to guess the presence of what with alarming relevance we will define sex demon, established that the practices connected to it, besides magnifying what in psychoanalysis is called "pleasure principle", represent an antistress, a natural anxiolytic, at hand, if not of another. Obviously, as Conte instead considers good and fair, the championship, in his opinion, it is preferable that he responds rather to the "reality principle".
Thus, returning to the vigilant convictions of Conte (Gigi Cagni expressed the same thought years ago), it remains on all that man, the technician confessed to "L'Équipe", in the certainty of being, yes, "a spirit free". Established that "my way of being will lead me to close my career early, because I live the trade too intensely".
