The twenty teams shared a letter addressed to anyone who loves football to pay particular attention to the issue of racism in the stadiums: "We must recognize that we have a serious problem with racism in Italian stadiums and that we have not fought enough during these years. this season, the images of our football, in which some players were subjected to racist abuse, have been around the world, sparking debate everywhere. it is a cause of frustration and shame for all of us. in football, as in life, no one should ever suffer racist insults. we can no longer remain passive and wait for all this vanish. on pushing the same club, in recent weeks, was started a constructive dialogue with Lega Serie a, FIGC and international experts on how to tackle and eradicate this problem from the world of football. We, the club that sottoscrivon or this letter, we are united by the desire for serious changes and the Lega Serie A has declared its intention to lead this path through a solid and complete anti-racism policy in Serie A, with new laws and stricter regulations, together with a plan targeted awareness raising for all those involved in this sport regarding the scourge of racism. We have no more time to waste. We must act together with speed and determination, and we will do so from now on. Now more than ever, the contribution and support of all of you, fans of our clubs and Italian football, will be crucial in this vital effort.
