In Serie A, unfortunately, there continues to be the big problem of racism in the stadiums. Too many episodes have seen black players victims of insults and dark racists who have often been around the world leaving a bad image and label on our football. Now the 20 teams of the Italian top division have decided to join together by writing a letter to all fans of Italian football, and which has also been issued by the official website of Inter. Here it is below:

We must recognize that we have a serious problem with racism in Italian stadiums and that we have not fought it enough over the years. Also this season, the images of our football, in which some players have been victims of racist insults, have gone around the world, sparking debate everywhere. It is a source of frustration and shame for all of us. In football, as in life, no one should ever suffer racist insults. We can no longer remain passive and wait for all this to vanish. In the last few weeks, thanks to the same clubs, a constructive confrontation was started with Lega Serie A, FIGC and international experts on how to tackle and eradicate this problem from the world of football. We, the clubs that sign this letter, are united by the desire for serious changes and the Serie A League has declared its intention to lead this path through a solid and complete anti-racism policy in Serie A, with new laws and stricter regulations , along with a targeted awareness plan for all those involved in this sport regarding the scourge of racism.

We have no more time to waste. We must act together with speed and determination, and we will do so from now on. Now more than ever, the contribution and support of all of you, fans of our clubs and Italian football, will be crucial in this vital effort.
